Lomaliu
In the beginning, there was only the Sea, Lomaliu. She shone and sparkled in the sun and her waters glittered with all shades of blue and green.
But she was empty and lonely. From her depths, she rose up the land. It was lush and beautiful. She admired what she had created for some time, but she was still so lonely. Lomaliu created tiny creatures to live on the lands she raised. Oh how she loved her new people. They took care of her land and played in her waters. She was no longer so lonely.
Soon her people cried out to her in hunger; there was no food for them to eat. The sea felt their pain deeply, as if it was her own. She created plentiful fish to fill her waters so her creatures would never go hungry again.
Once more, her people called to her. They were tired, but the sun was so bright, they couldn't sleep. Lomaliu sent the sun away to bring the night, but it was too dark and her people were afraid. She sent her waves high into the night and created the moons to brighten the darkness.
As her people grew, they built boats to find bigger fish. The boats strayed too far from their land and night was falling; her people were lost. Lomaliu caught the bright moonlight in her waves and sent a great spray into the sky, creating the stars. They shined bright so her people could always find their way back home.
One day, a great evil started to grow in the land. It made the people sick and killed their crops. The sea grew terrified and desperate to save her people. She took hold of the poisoned land and sunk it deep into her waters. To this day, her powerful waves hold the rotten land so it may never come back.
